Product Position & Views – What They Mean and Why They Matter

When ordering a replacement part, knowing its position on the vehicle and viewing it from different angles is essential for accuracy and fit.

What is Product Position?
The product position refers to where the part is located on the vehicle—either on the passenger side, driver side, front, or rear. For vehicles in the U.S., the driver side is on the left when you are sitting inside the car, and the passenger side is on the right.

Example:

  • Driver side fender: Located on the left side when seated in the driver’s seat.

  • Passenger side fender: Located on the right side when seated in the driver’s seat.

  • Front bumper: The side facing forward, toward the road.

  • Rear bumper: The side facing backward, toward following traffic.
