All vehicles have different specific processes for removing fenders. The key is to take notes on what screws and fasteners you remove, because when you install your new fender, you will have to reattach it the same way you detached it.

Helpful Tools You Might Need

• Small flat-head screwdriver
• Phillips screwdriver
• A socket
• WD-40

Remove Your Fender

1. Remove all screws and fasteners that are holding your fender to your vehicle. If any screws are difficult to remove, apply some WD-40 to them, and then try again.
2. If your vehicle requires you to remove any other parts such as the front bumper, grill, antenna, or headlight, remove those.
3. You may also have to remove your hood – note that not all vehicles will require this.
4. If you have any trim pieces or cladding, you will have to remove those as well. You will want to save these so you can reuse them on your new fender.
5. Double check that there are not any other hidden screws or fasteners keeping your fender attached to your vehicle. Once all of those are removed, the fender will be able to come off your vehicle.

Important Notes

Save all screws, bolts, trim pieces, and any side pieces from the removal of your fender for the installation of your fender.

Install Your Fender

1. To install your fender, you will have to do a reversal of the removal process. Attach all screws from your new fender onto your vehicle.
2. Attach all fasteners from your vehicle to your fender.
3. Reattach any additional parts that you had to detach, such as the hood, grill, front bumper, antenna, or headlight.
4. Reassemble the accessories on your new fender from your old fender such as the trim pieces, cladding, and any other side pieces.
5. Be sure that all parts you removed from your old fender are attached on your new fender, once you ensure that the fender is securely on your vehicle, you are ready to hit the road!
